I'm going to be honest guys... I've been waiting 2 years for this vape mod to crap out on me so I have an excuse to get a new one. It just won't give up.
PROS:
Solid metal casing
Durable resin design feature with magnetic battery door
Stands the test of time and abuse
Won't break the bank... and it just WONT BREAK!
CONS:
VooPoo doesn't sell spare parts meaning it's timely death will come....eventually...
See that yellow electrical tape on my tank? That is the epitome of how I treat my vape. It has gone through 3 tanks, countless replacement glass and resin tubes, and a sh!t ton of drunk and reckless nights.
The VooPoo Drag 2. An example of exemplary craftsmanship in technology that you hardy see anymore. This true clunker brings me back to the days when things just WORKED. When people took pride in their products and sold what was best for the consumers, not their wallets. While truly putting out pure power without end, it somehow does it without a single hiccup.
As you can see from the graphic depictions above, it has gotten quite crusty. The paint alone looks like the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe that I drove in high school. Only some higher being knows what now fills that micro-usb port that no longer works. The battery door is missing a magnet, which means it flops off every now and then, similar to a flipflop that doesn't keep the toe-thong in place. Even still, I cannot pass the blame on the product itself, as the product itself is a product of me and all the good and bad memories we share.
I know, I know, this is supposed to be a review right? Right. But I am also an honest being. This device is no longer sold, it's long been replaced by a counterpart with rounded edges and a slimmer fit. I believe this device uses a DNA chip but honestly can't find any information on it anymore. It has all the features of temperature control, TI, SS, and NI, but honestly, I didn't use any of those.
You see what you get. A modern day technological workhorse. The mule of the pocket. So heavy that you never misplace it, bulkier than an old iPhone with an Otterbox on it. This device has survived so many drops on concrete that I am begrudgingly astonished. At this point I'm more worried about my toe being smashed or the tile breaking underneath it.
This has been 4 years of daily use. My jean pockets have a permanent impression that I'm not sure any new vape can fulfill. Yet as the days come closer to it's retirement, I can't help but to hope the next one plays it's part... but nobody can replace old faithful that easily.
